Verizon Communications announced a notable 1.5% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $33.5 billion in the first quarter of 2025. The company also reported a 6.3% rise in net income to $5 billion, with earnings per share (EPS) climbing to $1.15 from $1.09 the previous year.

2025 Outlook and Strategic Initiatives

Looking ahead, Verizon anticipates wireless service revenue growth between 2% and 2.8%, alongside an EPS growth projection of 0% to 3%. The company plans capital expenditures ranging from $17.5 billion to $18.5 billion.

CEO Hans Vestberg highlighted the company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, mentioning new programs like the 3-year price lock, free phone guarantee for consumers, and My Biz Plan for small and medium-sized businesses. Despite these positive developments, Verizon's shares experienced a 3.59% drop in premarket trading, settling at $41.39.
