Major European stock exchanges experienced gains on Tuesday, buoyed by optimistic remarks from European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde. Lagarde's comments about potential tariff negotiations with the United States and her reassurance regarding the euro area's economic outlook lifted market spirits.

The DAX index closed 0.41% higher, with Sartorius leading the charge with a 5.45% surge. Similarly, the Euro Stoxx 50 and the CAC 40 saw increases of 0.53% and 0.57%, respectively, with L'Oreal emerging as the top performer by jumping 6.30%. The FTSE 100 also advanced by 0.64%, thanks to Bunzl's 3.58% rise.
