Emergency Measures in Srinagar Following Terror Attack
In response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam targeting tourists, Air India and IndiGo have announced the operation of four additional flights from Srinagar. These flights aim to assist tourists wishing to cut their holidays short and return home safely. The aviation ministry has also kept additional flights on standby to meet further evacuation needs.

Government Warns Against Surge Pricing
Union aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu has issued a stern warning to airlines against implementing surge pricing during this critical time. Airlines have been directed to maintain regular fare levels to ensure that passengers are not financially burdened. Additionally, cancellation and rebooking charges for Srinagar flights have been waived for a specified period.
Support for Victims and Their Families
The minister has also taken steps to support the victims of the attack and their families. Special arrangements have been made to airlift the mortal remains of the deceased to their home states, with full coordination between state governments and local authorities. A special help desk has been set up at Andhra Bhawan in Delhi to assist Telugu people stranded in Kashmir.
