China's Bold Move Against Boeing

In a significant escalation of the ongoing trade dispute with the United States, China has ceased accepting deliveries of Boeing aircraft. CEO Kelly Ortberg confirmed the halt, attributing it directly to the current tariff environment.

Ortberg revealed that several 737 Max jets destined for Chinese carriers have been rerouted back to the US. Boeing is now looking to redirect these planes, along with others initially intended for China, to alternative markets. "We're not going to wait too long," Ortberg stated, highlighting the strong demand for the 737 Max model.

Amid these developments, Boeing reported a notable improvement in its financial health, with its net loss for the first quarter of 2025 shrinking to $31 million from $355 million the previous year.
