Under the leadership of Dr. R. Bindu, Kerala's Higher Education and Social Justice Minister, the state has seen unprecedented growth in its higher education sector and public infrastructure, thanks to the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). With an allocation of Rs 6,000 crore over the past four years, KIIFB has been instrumental in this transformation.

KIIFB-driven reforms accelerate Kerala’s higher education and public infrastructure growth

Dr. R. Bindu emphasized the role of KIIFB in establishing international standard education systems, modern facilities in universities, and leading laboratories in South India. Significant investments include Rs 250 crore for CUSAT upgrades and Rs 617.75 crore for international standard hostels and research centers.

Building a Knowledge Society

The 'New Kerala' mission focuses on creating translational research laboratories and enhancing skill development, with Rs 350 crore allocated for skill parks in every district. Additionally, Rs 140 crore has been spent on skill courses across various educational institutions.

Adv. G. R. Anil, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, highlighted the surge in infrastructure development, attributing it to KIIFB's support. Projects worth over ₹1,500 crore are underway in Nedumangad, including the construction of the Nedumangad District Hospital and market.

Key road projects like the ₹300 crore Nedumangad-Mangalapuram road and the ₹1,000 crore Vazhayila-Pazhakutty road are set to improve connectivity, showcasing KIIFB's commitment to Kerala's development.
