Intel's Leadership Changes Continue
In a significant development for Intel Corporation, Christoph Schell, the Chief Commercial Officer, has decided to step down. His resignation, effective June 30, was disclosed in an SEC filing by Intel this Wednesday.
Reason Behind the Resignation
Schell, who also held the titles of General Manager of Sales, Marketing, and Communications, and Executive Vice President, cited the pursuit of another career opportunity as the reason for his departure. This move was communicated to the company on Monday.
A Series of High-Level Departures
This resignation marks the second major leadership change at Intel in recent months. Last month, Lip-Bu Tan was appointed as the new CEO, following the retirement of former CEO Pat Gelsinger in December. During the transition period, David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus served as interim co-CEOs.
