Intel Faces Another Leadership Change
In a significant development for Intel Corporation, Christoph Schell, the Chief Commercial Officer, has decided to step down from his position. His resignation, effective June 30, was disclosed in an SEC filing by Intel this Wednesday.
Pursuing New Horizons
Schell, who also held the roles of general manager of sales, marketing, and communications, and executive vice president, communicated his decision to leave on Monday. He cited the desire to "pursue another career opportunity" as the reason behind his departure.
A Series of Leadership Transitions
This announcement marks the second major leadership transition at Intel in recent months. Last month, Lip-Bu Tan was appointed as the new CEO, succeeding Pat Gelsinger who retired in December. During the interim period, David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston Holthaus served as co-CEOs, steering the company through the transition.
