Record Production and Sales Growth for NMDC

State-run mining giant NMDC has reported a significant 15% increase in iron ore production and a 3% rise in sales for the month of April. The company produced an impressive 4 million tonnes (MnT) of iron ore, up from 3.48 MnT in April of the previous year.

Leadership and Future Goals

NMDC Chairman and Managing Director Amitava Mukherjee highlighted the company's record-breaking performance and its ambitious target to become a 100 MT mining company by 2030. The company also celebrated its highest-ever April pellet production at 0.23 lakh tonnes, setting a new benchmark.

Steel Production on the Rise

NMDC Steel Limited (NSL), the company's demerged steel arm, saw an 8.5% month-on-month increase in hot metal output, further cementing NMDC's position as India's largest iron ore producer.
