While Japan's Nikkei 225 and South Korea's Kospi were closed for holidays, other markets showed varied performances. The US dollar remained stable against the yen, trading at ¥143.82550 at 4:14 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 experienced a slight decline of 0.17% by 4:15 am CET.
In contrast, mainland China's markets saw gains, with the Shanghai Composite rising by 0.52% and the Shenzhen Composite increasing by 1.25%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng also enjoyed an uptick, climbing 0.54% or 120 points by 4:18 am CET.
