In a significant expansion of its services, DoorDash Inc. has announced a groundbreaking agreement to acquire SevenRooms, a New York City-based restaurant technology company, for approximately $1.2 billion in an all-cash deal. This acquisition is poised to close in the latter half of 2025, marking a pivotal moment for the food delivery giant.

Parisa Sadrzadeh, DoorDash's Vice President for Strategy and Operations, highlighted the strategic importance of this acquisition. "With SevenRooms, we're excited to give local businesses around the globe new ways to bring more guests in the door, build and grow direct relationships with their customers, access best-in-class CRM, and drive profitability through smarter marketing."
A Busy Year for DoorDash
This announcement comes alongside DoorDash's financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2025, showcasing a 21% revenue jump to $3 billion. Notably, this follows DoorDash's earlier revelation of its agreement to acquire the British food delivery company Deliveroo for £2.9 billion, underscoring the company's aggressive expansion strategy.
