According to preliminary data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on Wednesday, Tesla, Inc. experienced a 6% decrease in sales within China last month, with 58,459 vehicles sold. This downturn reflects a significant 25% drop from March's figures, highlighting a challenging period for the electric vehicle giant.
BYD Outshines Tesla with a 20% Sales Increase
In contrast, BYD, Tesla's main competitor in the Chinese market, reported an impressive nearly 20% year-on-year growth. The company delivered a total of 372,615 units, including both pure electric and hybrid models, further solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.
