Nintendo Sets Ambitious Sales Target for Switch 2
In a surprising announcement, Nintendo Co., Ltd revealed its expectation to sell 15 million units of the eagerly anticipated Switch 2 console by March 2026. This marks the company's first sales projection for the next-generation device.

Financial Performance and Future Projections

The company experienced a 24.7% decline in quarterly revenue, amounting to 208.7 billion yen ($1.45 billion), slightly missing market expectations. Net profit saw a sharper decrease, dropping nearly 50% to 41.6 billion yen, yet still surpassing analyst predictions.
Looking ahead, Nintendo is optimistic about fiscal 2026, projecting a 63% surge in net sales to 1.9 trillion yen and a modest 7.6% rise in profit to 300 billion yen.
