Panasonic to Slash 10,000 Positions Worldwide
Panasonic Holdings Corp. revealed plans on Friday to reduce its global workforce by a staggering 10,000 jobs. This strategic move, set to be completed by the end of the fiscal year in March 2026, targets surplus areas within the company, notably in human resources and accounting departments.
Strategic Review of Business Units
In addition to workforce reductions, the Japanese conglomerate is conducting a thorough review of several of its business units. These include televisions, kitchen appliances, industrial motors, and automotive parts. Decisions regarding potential sales of these units are expected to be finalized during the fiscal year ending March 2026, with implementations slated for the subsequent year.
