UniCredit Shatters Records with a 2.8% Revenue Surge to €6.5 Billion in Q1 2025

Unprecedented Financial Performance

UniCredit S.p.A. announced a remarkable financial achievement for the first quarter of 2025, with total revenues climbing to €6.5 billion, marking a 2.8% increase compared to the previous year. This performance underscores the bank's robust growth trajectory and operational efficiency.

Profitability on the Rise

The Italian banking giant reported a net operating profit of €4.1 billion, up by 4.6% year on year, and a net profit of €2.8 billion, which represents an 8.3% increase. Despite a slight uptick in operating costs by 0.6% to €2.3 billion, the bank's financial health remains strong, with a slight adjustment in the CET1 ratio to 16.1%.

Future Outlook

UniCredit has also revised its 2025 financial projections upwards, anticipating a net profit of €9.3 billion and a Return on Tangible Equity (RoTE) exceeding 17%. "This quarter marks the best in UniCredit’s history, showcasing our 17th consecutive quarter of profitable growth," CEO Andrea Orcel proudly stated, highlighting the bank's exceptional performance and competitive edge.
