India-Pakistan Ceasefire Impact on Air Travel
The government has decided to lift the Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) for several airports across north and north-western India that had been temporarily closed for civilian flights till May 15. This decision follows the India-Pakistan ceasefire announced over the weekend.

Attention Flyers: The Airports Authority of India has announced that these airports are now available for civil aircraft operations with immediate effect. Travelers are advised to check flight status directly with airlines and monitor airline’s websites for regular updates.
List of Reopened Airports
The temporary suspension of operations, which was supposed to last until May 15, impacted several key airports across northern India including Chandigarh, Srinagar, Amritsar, and others. The closure also extended to crucial facilities such as Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Leh, and more.
IndiGo Flights and Enhanced Security Measures
IndiGo has announced plans to progressively commence operations on the previously closed routes. Meanwhile, the BCAS has directed enhanced security protocols at all airports and airlines throughout India, including Secondary Ladder Point Check (SLPC) for all passengers and a ban on visitor entry to terminal buildings.
