Project Highlights and Future Plans

The initiative includes a 175 MW/700 MWh battery storage system, designed to provide a backup power supply of 175 MWh for four hours. This project not only stands as one of the most competitively priced offerings in India's energy sector but also marks the largest allocation in SJVN's tariff-based competitive bidding process.

Upon completion, this project will enhance Reliance Power's portfolio by adding 600 MWp of installed solar PV capacity and 700 MWh of energy storage, further solidifying its position as a leader in new energy solutions.

Expanding Clean Energy Footprint

With this latest addition, Reliance Power's clean energy pipeline now boasts 2.5 GWp of solar capacity and 2.5 GWh of battery storage, establishing the company as India's foremost player in the integrated solar-battery storage domain.

This project is a pivotal part of SJVN's broader tender for 1,200 MW of solar power coupled with 600 MW/2,400 MWh of battery storage, connected to the inter-state transmission network, showcasing a significant stride in India's renewable energy ambitions.
