Daimler Truck Reports Robust Q1 Results but Cautiously Lowers 2025 Outlook

Daimler Truck Holding AG unveiled its first-quarter results for 2025, showcasing strong profitability. However, the company has decided to revise its full-year outlook downwards, citing increasing macroeconomic uncertainties, especially in the North American market.
The revised forecast anticipates Group unit sales to range between 430,000 and 460,000, with Industrial Business revenue projected at €48 to €51 billion. In response to these challenges, Daimler Truck is pushing forward with its Cost Down Europe initiative, targeting cost reductions exceeding €1 billion by 2030 to enhance competitiveness.
CFO Eva Scherer highlighted the resilience of the North American operations, stating, "Our performance reflects improved resilience... despite lower markets." This statement underscores the company's ability to navigate through fluctuating market conditions.
