Protests Erupt as Indian Traders Boycott Turkish Goods
In a bold move against Turkey's support for Pakistan, Indian fruit traders have initiated a boycott of Turkish goods, particularly apples. This decision comes in response to Turkey's alleged provision of drones to Pakistan, which were used in actions against India.
"We've decided to stop buying Turkish fruits from now on. Any country that supports terrorism will not be entertained in Indian markets," stated a trader, highlighting the traders' resolve.

Economic Impact and National Sentiment
India's annual imports from Turkey, valued at over Rs 1,200 crore, face a significant halt. The traders' decision reflects a broader national sentiment against countries supporting Pakistan, with calls for economic sanctions and a boycott of Turkish goods gaining momentum.
"We will never import anything from Turkey in the future," declared Shadab Khan, a local fruit trader, underscoring the traders' commitment to national interests over economic gains.
Remembering 'Operation Dost'
The Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) criticized Turkey for forgetting India's humanitarian aid during the 2023 earthquake, known as "Operation Dost." India's timely assistance, including relief materials and medical teams, showcased its role as a responsible global power.
SJM urges citizens to boycott Turkish products and embrace self-reliance, reinforcing the message that trade partners should not support adversaries.
