BHEL Reports Significant Financial Growth in March Quarter

State-owned engineering giant Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) announced a 3% increase in its consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 504.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025. This growth is primarily attributed to higher revenues from its industry business.

Financial Highlights

The company's total income for the March quarter rose to Rs 9,142.64 crore, up from Rs 8,416.84 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. Notably, the industry segment revenue surged to Rs 2,800.96 crore, a significant increase from Rs 2,091.98 crore last year. Meanwhile, the power segment saw a marginal rise to Rs 6,192.41 crore from Rs 6,168.27 crore.

Annual Performance and Dividend Announcement

For the fiscal year 2024-25, BHEL’s consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 533.90 crore, compared to Rs 282.22 crore in the previous year. The board has recommended a final dividend of 25% (50 paise per share of face value Rs 2 each) for FY25, pending approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
