
Globalstar Partners with SpaceX for Future Satellite Launches
In a significant move for satellite communications, Globalstar, Inc. has entered into a launch services agreement with SpaceX. This partnership will utilize the Falcon 9 rocket to deploy the next generation of satellites, as part of a broader 2022 satellite acquisition deal with Macdonald, Dettwiler and Associates Corporation (MDA).
Launch Timeline and FCC Authorization
Following an initial launch scheduled for this year, Globalstar anticipates a subsequent mission in 2026. These launches will feature satellites that have received authorization from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements for operation.
