Mhada and Adani Group Forge Path for Motilal Nagar's Future

In a landmark move, Mhada has partnered with the Adani Group to redevelop Motilal Nagar in Goregaon (West), promising to deliver ultra-modern apartments to its residents. This initiative marks the largest redevelopment project in India under the Construction and Development model.

Project Highlights and Community Impact

With 3,700 tenements spread across 142 acres, the project aims to rehabilitate residents into 1,600 sq ft homes, alongside allocating commercial space for non-resident tenants. The completion is slated within seven years, significantly enhancing Mhada's housing stock.

Leadership and Vision

Sanjeev Jaiswal, Mhada's vice president and CEO, alongside Pranav Adani, director of Adani Properties, underscored the project's commitment to transparency and quality. The initiative has been hailed as a testament to collaborative governance, with credits to CM Devendra Fadnavis and deputy CM Eknath Shinde.

Residents' Concerns and Opposition

Despite the ambitious plans, residents' associations express dissatisfaction, citing unmet demands for larger living spaces. Yuvraj Mohite of the Motilal Nagar Vikas Samiti voiced strong opposition, hinting at potential protests over the agreement's terms.
