Unprecedented Growth in Mutual Fund SIP Investments
Monthly investments through systematic investment plans (SIPs) have reached a historic high of Rs 27,269 crore in June 2025, marking a 2% increase from May's Rs 26,688 crore. This milestone represents the first time SIP investments have crossed the Rs 27,000 crore threshold.

Surge in SIP Accounts and Retail Participation
The number of contributing SIP accounts soared to an all-time high of 8.64 crore, up from 8.56 crore in May. New SIP registrations also saw a significant jump to 61.91 lakh, indicating robust investor engagement despite market volatility.
Expansion of the Mutual Fund Ecosystem
The broader mutual fund ecosystem experienced growth, with total MF folios expanding to 24.13 crore in June. Retail folios under equity, hybrid, and solution-oriented schemes climbed to 19.07 crore, with retail AUM rising to Rs 44.40 lakh crore.
Industry Leaders Reflect on Milestone
AMFI chief executive Venkat Chalasani highlighted the industry's AUM crossing Rs 74 lakh crore as a significant milestone, fueled by sustained retail interest and record SIP inflows. He emphasized the importance of investor education and long-term investment strategies.
