Wipro Chairman Speaks on Global Uncertainty and AI's Role

BENGALURU: At Wipro's 79th annual general meeting (AGM), chairman Rishad Premji shared insights into how clients are adapting to a volatile external environment. Highlighting macroeconomic pressures and tariff uncertainties, Premji noted, "While the environment hasn't worsened, it hasn't improved significantly either. Clients are acclimatising to a world that is inherently more unpredictable."

Despite a slight decline in IT services revenue, Wipro reported a significant rise in net income and operating margins. "The year was marked by disciplined execution and bold investments," Premji added, underscoring the company's resilience and strategic focus.
