In a strategic move to bolster its position in the aerospace sector, French aerospace giant Safran S.A. has successfully finalized the acquisition of Collins Aerospace's flight control and actuation unit for a staggering $1.8 billion. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Safran's expansion strategy, integrating a business with a robust workforce of approximately 4,000 employees spread across key global locations.

Global Integration and Synergies

The newly acquired operations, spanning across Asia, Europe, and the United States, are set to be merged into Safran Electronics & Defense starting August 1. Safran anticipates achieving annual pre-tax cost synergies of around $50 million by 2028, underscoring the financial and operational benefits of this deal.
