Blinkit Overtakes Zomato in Net Order Value
In a significant shift in the business dynamics of Eternal Ltd, Blinkit has surpassed Zomato's core food delivery business in net order value for the first time. This marks a pivotal moment in the company's strategic direction towards quick commerce.

Financial Highlights of Q1 2025
Eternal Ltd reported a 70% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue to Rs 7,167 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Despite this growth, net profit saw a 90% decline to Rs 25 crore, attributed to increased investments in Blinkit and other emerging verticals.
Blinkit's Remarkable Growth
Blinkit's revenue more than doubled to Rs 2,400 crore, with its net order value (NOV) rising 127% year-on-year to Rs 9,203 crore, slightly ahead of Zomato's Rs 8,967 crore. This quarter signifies Blinkit's ascendancy in order value over Zomato's food delivery arm.
Zomato's Steady Performance
Zomato's food delivery unit showed stable growth, with a 10% sequential increase in revenue and an improved Adjusted Ebitda margin to 5% of NOV. Monthly transacting users grew to 22.9 million, indicating robust consumer engagement.
Future Investments and Expansion
Eternal Ltd is committed to investing in Blinkit and Hyperpure, aiming to scale these businesses while maintaining profitability in food delivery. The company also announced the incorporation of Blinkit Foods to explore new commerce models, including cooked food delivery.
