Meta Platforms Inc. Strengthens AI Team with Google DeepMind Talent

In a strategic move to bolster its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, Meta Platforms Inc. has reportedly hired three more AI researchers from Google DeepMind. This acquisition brings the total number of researchers Meta has recruited from the renowned AI lab to at least six, according to a report by The Information.

The new hires, Tianhe Yu, Cosmo Du, and Weiyue Wang, were part of Meta's aggressive AI talent acquisition strategy. These researchers contributed to the development of Google's Gemini model, which demonstrated remarkable problem-solving abilities at this year's International Math Olympiad, rivaling the performance of gold-medal-winning contestants.
