Chennai-Based Netrasemi Raises Significant Funding
Amid efforts to indigenize the CCTV equipment supply chain, Kerala-based chip startup Netrasemi has successfully raised Rs 107 crore in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Zoho Corporation and Unicorn India Ventures, marking a significant milestone for the startup.

Innovating IoT with Advanced SoCs
Founded in 2020, Netrasemi specializes in developing system on chips (SoCs) designed for IoT products. These chips are pivotal for applications in surveillance, industrial robotics, and smart home and retail devices, enabling computing directly on devices without the need for cloud processing.
Government Support and Future Plans
Supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's (Meity) design-linked incentive program, Netrasemi has previously secured Rs 18.3 crore in earlier funding rounds. The latest funds will be allocated towards research and development, expanding manufacturing capabilities, and marketing efforts.
Strategic Partnerships and Market Expansion
Netrasemi has established agreements with at least eight global original equipment makers (OEMs) and is in talks with others. The startup's focus on developing CCTV AI camera chips for the Indian market is driven by the government's push to localize CCTV supply chains, enhancing trustworthiness in both domestic and international markets.
