In a recent development, unofficial exchange points have reported selling the US dollar at VND26,460, marking a 0.04% increase from the previous day. Meanwhile, Vietcombank has decided to maintain its exchange rate steady at VND26,320.

State Bank of Vietnam Adjusts Reference Rate

The State Bank of Vietnam has made a slight adjustment to its reference rate, lowering it by 0.04% to VND25,166. This move comes at a time when global currencies are experiencing significant shifts.

Global Currency Trends

On the global front, the euro is inching closer to its highest level in nearly four years, while the yen continues to hold onto its gains. These developments follow progress in trade deals between the United States and its major trading partners, contributing to an uplifted market mood.

Expert Insight: "The trade frameworks agreed upon by the U.S. and major economies are undoubtedly positive for risk sentiment," noted Carol Kong, a currency strategist at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Against the yen, the dollar has seen a 0.3% decline to 146.01, marking its fourth consecutive session of losses against the Japanese currency.
