Santander's Robust Q2 Performance
In a remarkable display of resilience, Banco Santander SA has reported a 7% increase in its second-quarter profits for fiscal 2025, reaching an impressive €3.4 billion. Despite a slight 1% dip in total income to €15.5 billion, the bank's earnings per share (EPS) remained steady at €0.22.
First Half Highlights
The first half of 2025 has been particularly fruitful for Santander, with profits soaring by 12.8% year-over-year to €6.8 billion. Total income held steady at €31 billion, mirroring the previous year's figures, while EPS saw an 18.5% jump to €0.43.

"Despite the ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, we are confident in our ability to meet our annual targets," stated Executive Chair Ana Botin. She emphasized the bank's strategic diversification and its proven track record as key drivers behind Santander's ability to outperform its peers in value creation.
