Unprecedented Growth in UPI Transactions

Mumbai: The month of July 2025 witnessed a monumental achievement in digital payments, with UPI transactions soaring to a record 1,947 crore, amounting to nearly Rs 25.1 lakh crore. This represents a staggering 35% increase in transaction volume and a 22% rise in value compared to the previous year.

Daily Transactions on the Rise

July's average daily transaction count climbed to 62.8 crore, up from June's 61.3 crore, while the average daily transaction value also saw an uptick, reaching Rs 80,919 crore from Rs 80,131 crore. This steady growth underscores the accelerating adoption of digital payments across the nation.

UPI's Expanding Dominance

The latest figures not only highlight UPI's robust expansion but also mark July as the month with the highest ever recorded transaction count, cementing its position as a cornerstone of India's digital economy.
