Boeing Faces Historic Strike as Union Rejects Offer, First in Nearly 30 Years

Historic Strike Looms at Boeing as Union Stands Firm

In a decisive move, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM Union) has announced the rejection of a modified four-year labor agreement by its members at Boeing's facilities in St. Louis, St. Charles, Mo., and Mascoutah, Ill. This sets the stage for a strike beginning at midnight on Monday, marking the first such action since 1996.

"IAM District 837 members have made their stance clear," stated Tom Boelling, IAM District 837 Directing Business Representative. "They demand a contract that acknowledges their expertise, commitment, and vital contribution to national defense. We stand united with these workers in their quest for fairness and respect in the workplace."
