Kaynes Circuits to Revolutionize Electronics Manufacturing in Tamil Nadu
Kaynes Circuits India is set to establish a cutting-edge electronic component manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, with a massive investment of Rs 4,995 crore. This facility will specialize in producing advanced components such as 74-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs), high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs, flexible PCBs, and more.

Tamil Nadu's first major PCB manufacturing investment marks a significant step towards developing Thoothukudi into a new electronics manufacturing cluster. The project is expected to create approximately 4,700 jobs, boosting the local economy and positioning Tamil Nadu as a leader in high-tech manufacturing.
Strengthening Thoothukudi's Position as a High-Tech Hub
The new facility's proximity to VinFast’s proposed EV manufacturing plant highlights Thoothukudi's potential to become an integrated hub for electronics and electric vehicles. This strategic alignment is anticipated to foster cross-sector industrial synergies, mirroring the success of Tamil Nadu’s other electronics hubs.
Aligning with India’s Component Manufacturing Ambitions
This development is in line with India’s electronics component manufacturing scheme, which has attracted significant interest for the production of multilayer PCBs and other advanced components. The initiative underscores the government's commitment to supporting next-generation electronics manufacturing in the country.
