What PAN 2.0 Brings to the Table

Cost and Convenience

Under the new system, services like PAN allotment, update, and correction will be provided free of cost, with e-PANs delivered directly to the taxpayer's registered email ID, enhancing convenience and efficiency.

A Unified Portal for All

Currently fragmented across three platforms, PAN-related services will be integrated into a single unified portal, significantly improving user experience and reducing complexity for over 81.24 crore PAN holders and 73 lakh TAN holders in India.

Investment and Impact

With a final bid value of over Rs 792 crore and a total project approval of Rs 1,435 crore by the CCEA, the PAN 2.0 initiative underscores the government's commitment to leveraging technology for better service delivery and grievance redressal.
