Impressive Growth in Q1 FY26
Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has announced a remarkable 43% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit, reaching Rs 5,947.9 crore for the June 2025 quarter. This growth is attributed to robust performances in both its India and Africa operations.

Revenue and ARPU See Strong Growth
Consolidated revenue from operations soared by 28.4% to Rs 49,463 crore in Q1 FY26, up from Rs 38,506.4 crore in the same quarter the previous year. The Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) also witnessed a significant rise, reaching Rs 250 from Rs 211 in the year-ago quarter.
Africa Operations Exceed Expectations
Bharti Airtel's Africa operations reported a five-fold increase in net profit to $156 million, a substantial leap from $31 million in the corresponding period last year.
Customer Base Expansion
The company's total customer base grew by 6.7% year-on-year to 60.5 crore in June 2025. In India, the customer base increased by 6.6% to 43.6 crore, with mobile subscribers rising by 2.3% to 36.27 crore.
Leadership in Postpaid Segment
Airtel has strengthened its leadership in the postpaid segment, adding 0.7 million customers in Q1, FY'26, bringing the total to 26.6 million customers.
Smartphone Data and Home Services
The number of smartphone data customers grew by 2.13 crore, an 8.2% increase year-on-year. Meanwhile, the Home Services segment saw a 37.7% growth in customer base, despite a 6.1% decline in ARPU to Rs 537.
