Record-Breaking Performance
Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) has announced a remarkable 32% year-over-year increase in its second-quarter revenue for fiscal 2025, reaching an impressive $7.7 billion. This surge underscores the company's robust position in the tech industry.
Financial Highlights
The company's net income saw an extraordinary leap of 229%, amounting to $872 million, compared to the same quarter in the previous year. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) also experienced a significant rise of 238%, ending at $0.54.
Future Outlook
Looking ahead, AMD projects third-quarter revenue to be around $8.7 billion. However, the company cautioned that this forecast excludes potential revenue from AMD Instinct MI308 shipments to China, pending US Government approval.
Leadership's Perspective
"Our second-quarter growth was driven by unprecedented server and PC processor sales," stated CEO Lisa Su. She emphasized the strong demand for AMD's computing and AI products and anticipated substantial growth in the latter half of the year, fueled by the launch of the AMD Instinct MI350 series accelerators and continued success of EPYC and Ryzen processors.
The announcement was met with positive investor response, as AMD's stock climbed 0.63% in after-hours trading.
