Vietcombank's Exchange Rate Hits Record

Vietcombank has maintained its exchange rate at a record high of VND26,420, a peak initially reached on Tuesday, surpassing the previous high of VND26,400 on July 29.

Black Market and State Bank Adjustments

On the black market, the US dollar saw a slight decrease of 0.02%, trading at around VND26,495. Meanwhile, the State Bank of Vietnam increased its reference rate by 0.05% to VND25,232.

Global Dollar Trends

Globally, the dollar remained stable as investors awaited news on the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors vacancy. Despite unexpected stagnation in the U.S. services sector and rising input costs, the dollar's position remained strong.

Currency Movements

The dollar showed little change against the yen and euro, with sterling also remaining steady. The dollar's index against a basket of currencies stood at 98.76, below its recent peak.
