Heartflow Soars 58% in Stunning Nasdaq Debut, Valued at $2.4 Billion

Heartflow Makes a Grand Entrance on Nasdaq

In a remarkable debut, Heartflow, the innovative medical technology firm, opened at $28 per share on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker "HTFL." This marked a significant 58% increase above its initial public offering (IPO) price of $19, surpassing the company's targeted range of $17 to $18 per share.

A Lucrative IPO and a Bright Future

The IPO was a resounding success, raising approximately $316 million from the sale of around 16.7 million new shares. This achievement granted Heartflow a valuation of $1.7 billion, which soared to about $2.4 billion following its debut. The California-based company's journey to the public market was not without its twists, as it initially planned to go public via a SPAC in 2021. That deal, which would have valued Heartflow at $2.8 billion with up to $600 million in gross proceeds, was ultimately terminated in early 2022.
