Global Collaboration for a Greener Future
In a significant move towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, Hyundai Steel has partnered with leading global steel companies and organizations to embark on a pioneering Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) Hub Study.

Uniting for Innovation
The consortium, including giants like Australia’s BHP, Chevron, Japan’s Mitsui & Co., India’s JSW Steel, and AM/NS India, aims to identify optimal locations for collecting and processing carbon dioxide from industrial facilities, with plans for underground marine storage.
A Vision for Sustainability
Over the next 18 months, the team will explore potential hub sites in Southeast Asia and northern Australia, assessing the feasibility of this ambitious project. Hyundai Steel views this collaboration as a pivotal step in leveraging carbon reduction technologies to foster a sustainable steel industry.
