Dollar Gains Slightly in Unofficial Exchange Points
The US dollar saw a modest increase of 0.04% over the weekend, reaching VND26,490 at unofficial exchange points. In contrast, Vietcombank maintained a stable rate at VND26,400.

State Bank of Vietnam Adjusts Reference Rate
The State Bank of Vietnam made a slight adjustment to its reference rate, increasing it by 0.01% to VND25,231.
Global Dollar Movements
On a global scale, the US dollar continued its downward trend as investors awaited key events, including the July US CPI data and the outcome of the US-China tariff negotiations.
Tim Kelleher from Commonwealth Bank in Auckland highlighted the unpredictability of these events, suggesting a cautious approach towards currency investments.
The dollar index experienced a 0.2% decline to 98.073, following a 0.4% drop the previous week. Against the yen, it weakened by 0.20% to 147.46, with Japanese markets closed for a holiday.
Meanwhile, the euro and British pound saw slight gains, while the kiwi remained stable.
