Trading volume saw a notable decrease, dropping by nearly 8% to VND45.273 trillion (US$1.73 billion), indicating a cautious approach from investors amidst the market's volatility.
Stock Performances
Gains: The VN-30 basket highlighted 21 advancing tickers, with MSN of Masan Group leading the charge by hitting its ceiling price. GVR of Vietnam Rubber Group and SSI of SSI Securities Corporation also posted impressive gains of 6.5% and 5.6%, respectively.
Losses: On the flip side, nine blue chips experienced declines. Notable losers included VRE of Vincom Retail, VHM of Vinhomes, and VIC of Vingroup, with drops of 2.2%, 1.4%, and 1.3%, respectively.
Foreign Investment
Foreign investors emerged as net sellers, offloading shares worth VND622 billion, with HPG of Hoa Phat Group and FPT of FPT Corporation being the primary targets.
Other Indices
The HNX-Index for the Hanoi Stock Exchange and the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market both enjoyed positive movements, rising by 1.47% and 0.65%, respectively.
