India-US Trade Relations Strengthen
India's exports to the United States saw a significant increase of 19.94% to $8.01 billion in July, with imports also rising by 13.78% to approximately $4.55 billion, according to the latest commerce ministry data.

April-July Trade Performance
During the first four months of the fiscal year 2025-26, exports to the US surged by 21.64% to $33.53 billion, while imports grew by 12.33% to $17.41 billion. The US remains India's top trading partner, with bilateral trade valued at $12.56 billion.
Upcoming Bilateral Trade Agreement Talks
With positive growth in trade since April, both nations are gearing up for the sixth round of negotiations on a bilateral trade agreement, with the US delegation set to visit India starting August 25.
Trade with Other Key Partners
India's exports to China also marked a notable increase of 27.39% year-on-year in July, reaching $1.34 billion, with a 19.97% growth in the April-July period to $5.75 billion. Meanwhile, imports from China rose by 5% in July to $10.91 billion.
