Vietnam's State Treasury Disburses $200M in National Day Gifts with Over 53% Budget Utilization

Budget Achievement and Distribution Progress

The State Treasury has disbursed over $200 million as cash gifts for National Day, equivalent to 53.15% of the planned budget of VND10.7 trillion.

Regional Completion Rates

According to the report, 11 out of 34 cities and provinces have completed fund withdrawals and gift distribution, with over 92% of their communes and allocated funds processed.

Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, and Quang Tri achieved a 100% completion rate in both fund transfer and cash delivery. Several other localities, including Da Nang, Ha Tinh, Lai Chau, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Nghe An, and Thanh Hoa, have largely completed the task.

Distribution Guidelines and Methods

Earlier on Aug. 29, the Ministry of Finance issued a circular guiding the distribution of gifts to citizens on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day on Sept. 2.

Gifts are being distributed at the household level, with recipients choosing between transfers to their social welfare accounts via the VNeID digital identity app or direct cash pickup at local distribution points. The distribution period runs from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, with a final deadline set for Sept. 15 for any unavoidable delays, the State Treasury said.
