German Inflation Shows Slight Decrease in April
The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) has released its preliminary report, indicating a slight decrease in Germany's annual inflation rate to 2.1% in April, down from 2.2% in March. This subtle shift reflects the ongoing economic adjustments within the country.

Monthly and Core Inflation Insights
On a month-on-month basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) experienced a 0.4% increase. The core inflation rate, which excludes the volatile food and energy sectors, was recorded at 2.9%. Notably, food prices saw a 2.8% year-on-year increase, while energy prices decreased by 5.4%.
