US Manufacturing Holds Steady in April
The United States manufacturing sector showed no signs of growth or decline in April, as reported by S&P Global. The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) remained static at 50.2, mirroring March's figures and staying just above the threshold that separates expansion from contraction.
Economic Concerns Loom Over Manufacturing Sector
"The manufacturing sector's performance in April was flat, underscored by significant concerns over rising costs and potential risks to the economic outlook," noted Chris Williamson, Chief Business Economist at S&P Global Market Intelligence.
