This brings the total working natural gas in storage to 2,041 Bcf, according to the latest data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Annual Comparison and Historical Context
Despite this weekly uptick, the annual comparison shows a decline of 435 Bcf. However, the current stockpiles are 5 Bcf above the five-year average of 2,036 Bcf, positioning the total working gas comfortably within the five-year historical range.
