NMDC Achieves Record-Breaking 15% Growth in Iron Ore Production This April

HYDERABAD: NMDC Ltd Sets New Records in April

State-run iron ore miner NMDC Ltd announced a significant milestone, producing 4 million tonnes of iron ore in April 2025, alongside selling 3.63 MT, marking its highest ever volumes for the month since inception.

This achievement represents a 15% increase in production and a 2.8% rise in sales compared to the same period last year.

"Our record-breaking April performance, coupled with best-ever despatch figures from our major iron ore mines, solidifies our leadership position and sets a strong foundation for achieving our ambitious target of becoming a 100MT mining company by 2030," said Amitava Mukherjee, chairman & managing director of NMDC.

Unprecedented Achievements Across Mines

The Bacheli complex recorded its best-ever April road despatch at 2.22 lakh tonnes, a 25% increase, while the company's pellet production soared to an all-time high of 0.23 lakh tonnes, surpassing the previous April record set in 2018.
