Indian Delegation Heads to Milan for ADB's Premier Financial Gathering
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to lead the Indian delegation to the 58th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Milan, Italy, from May 4-7. This pivotal event will convene finance leaders from across the globe to discuss future financial strategies and collaborations.

During the meeting, Minister Sitharaman will participate in critical sessions including the Governors' Business Session and the Governor's Plenary Session. She will also contribute as a panelist in the ADB Governors' Seminar titled 'Cross-Border Collaboration for Future Resilience', highlighting India's stance on global financial resilience and cooperation.
Bilateral Meetings and Interactions
On the sidelines, the minister is scheduled to hold significant bilateral discussions with finance ministers from Italy, Japan, and Bhutan. Additionally, she will meet with the President of ADB, the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). These meetings aim to strengthen India's financial ties and explore avenues for mutual growth.

Beyond the official agenda, Minister Sitharaman will engage with the Indian diaspora in Milan, meet with global think-tanks, business leaders, and CEOs. Her participation in the NEXT Milan Forum at Bocconi University on 'Balancing Economic and Climate Resilience' underscores India's commitment to sustainable development and climate action.
