Education and housing led the surge with annual increases of 79.20% and 74.07%, respectively. In contrast, clothing and footwear saw the most modest rise at 16.92% year-over-year.

Monthly Consumer Price Index

Consumer prices overall climbed by 3% in April, with clothing and footwear prices jumping 6.5% from the previous month.
