Significant Drop in Unemployment

In a positive turn for Spain's economy, the number of unemployed individuals decreased by 2.61% in April, equivalent to 67,420 people, as reported by the Spanish Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. This marks the most substantial decline since May 2022, with the total number of unemployed now at 2,512,718.

Sector-Wise Analysis

The report highlights a notable decrease in unemployment across all major sectors. Agriculture led the way with a 3.92% drop, followed by services at 2.66%. Construction and industry also saw reductions, with declines of 2.01% and 1.48%, respectively.
