Eurozone and EU Producer Prices Decline in March
According to a preliminary report by Eurostat released on Tuesday, the producer price index (PPI) experienced a 1.6% decrease in both the Eurozone and the European Union in March compared to the previous month. Annually, there was a rise of 1.9% in the euro area and 2.1% in the EU.

Sector-Wise Breakdown of Price Changes
In the Eurozone, the most significant monthly decrease was observed in energy prices, which fell by 5.8%. Conversely, prices saw modest increases: capital goods by 0.1%, durable consumer goods by 0.2%, and non-durable consumer goods by 0.5%, with intermediate goods remaining stable.
Similarly, the EU recorded its largest monthly decline in energy prices, dropping by 5.5%. Prices for intermediate goods and durable consumer goods rose by 0.1%, and non-durable consumer goods by 0.5%, while capital goods prices remained unchanged.
